Hi, I’m Dr. Emily Post! I am an exercise physiologist, professor, and fitness coach who believes movement should feel supportive, empowering, and grounded in real science. I earned my Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in the Department of Human Sciences, with a major in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Neuroscience, under the advisement of William J. Kraemer, Ph.D., FACSM. I completed my M.S. at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville in the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies, specializing in Exercise Physiology. Lastly, I earned my B.S. from Ohio Dominican University in the Department of Kinesiology, with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Biology.

I hold multiple professional certifications, including Tactical Strength & Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sports Medicine, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. I am an active member of both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. Additionally, I maintain Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross.

For more than a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of coaching, teaching, and research — coaching individuals across the lifespan and a wide range of backgrounds, teaching exercise physiology and strength & conditioning in college classrooms, and leading research that examines how exercise supports physical health and performance, cognitive function, mental well-being, and long-term confidence. My work is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by real-world application, allowing me to bridge scientific rigor with practical, human-centered training and education.

Whether I’m in the classroom, the lab, or working one-on-one with a client, my approach is always the same: meet people where they are, listen with empathy, and use evidence-based training to help them feel strong, capable, and understood. I blend physiology, behavior change principles, and practical coaching to create programs that fit real lives — not the other way around.

Most importantly, I care deeply about the human behind the physiology! Strength looks different for everyone, and I’m here to help you build yours with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
